TRES Launches TWO New Shirts

We are officially two weeks into the world of T-shirts with two new shirt designs from our recently launched TRESpropaganda.com. We hope you enjoy the new shirts.

We included one that is more indicative of our propaganda look and feel, known as the BULLET, and one we refer to as BARISTA, for obvious reasons. The BARISTA is a play on the culture here in Los Angeles (74 degrees today by the way) and the belief you need to be ready to be discovered at any moment. We have been there ourselves, and can laugh about it. (Read story). In fact, our next shirt might as well be: By "T-shirt designer," you mean everybody else in the world, right? The deeper we get into this the more humbled we get. There is a ton of stuff out there, but the reality is, we really like our stuff and enjoy wearing it; we believe you will too.

So yeah, it took some courage (or another word) to launch a t-shirts line in the winter, but so does wearing a t-shirt that says "more like Arkansucks."

Take a look, the shipping is free for the holidays, and we're pretty darn sure you will find something you'll want to rock.

Merry Christmas,

KC and Mike

The Gap between LA and America

so . .we launched on nov 30, but it took until dec 5 for it to hit me. It was a sunny 82 degrees outside, and with the fishbowl that I live in (lots of windows), it was about 88 inside the place. I was on the phone talking to our merchant account manager. I had never met him, he works in Maine, and us in LA. He said it was 15 degrees on average out there and laughed at my complaints over the heat. thats when I realized. . .hey . this takes some courage. . .or idiocy, not sure yet, but yes . one or the other. KC and I just launched our new venture, the vintage wash t-shirt line, in the middle of the freaking winter. Yeah, it doesnt take long (well, for me, 7 days) to realize that the country doesnt buy t's in the winter. . .its rare to buy something that you cant use for 4 months. can you imagine doing that with a cell phone, or a CD? That, well, just doesnt happen. But, hey, Im wearing a t-shirt right now? I guess that is how out of touch LA can be with America.

I feel a little like the guy who shows up at the party 40 minutes late only to realize he's STILL the first one to arrive. You know, you make a little small talk while the host is fixing up the place. Exchange a "sorry," " no, its great" for a little bit and start staring at the doorknob . .waiting . .please. . someone else get here . .where the heck is KC ? he said he would be here at 9 . .damn.
so.. maybe you've been there? come join the party. .

In The Beginning . . .

So here we go- I'm K.C. and along with my business partner Mike, we are TRES propaganda. TRES propaganda is a new T-shirt brand that focuses on pointing out the zits on the face of pop-culture, with a design forward aesthetic. We started this company after creating a line of merchandising shirts for a good buddy Tyrone Wells (unreal musician). Both Mike and I have spent a ton of time in the graphic design world building brands and creating products and merchandise for other people and figured it was finally time we started doing it for ourselves. We feel TRES propaganda embodies today's culture with great funny shirts that everyone at the party will laugh at as well more fashion forward T's that stand out in a crowd. Our plan is to try and release at least one new shirt every 4-6 weeks, so make sure you check back with us often to see the latest and greatest. We hope you like our stuff, and we are always looking for suggestions and ideas so let us know what you guys are thinking.

much love,
K.C. and Mike
